Being The Ricardos review is all about what’s Fact or Fiction. I love finding out the tweaks, flat out lies, and dramatizations filmmakers add to real people’s lives! This film definitely stays more true to life than other biopics.
Being The Ricardos review is all about what’s fact or fiction! I love biopics and I always research how the filmmaker embellishes the story. This one about Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball is no different. It stays pretty true to life in a sense of events, but the structure of the film is dramatized. Check out our quick below.
The big false of this story of Desi and Lucy is the basic premise of the film. It revolves around three events in their lives. Lucy being pregnant and her and Desi wanting to not hiding on TV. Lucy being accused of being a Communist. The Desi cheating accusations. All three of those events happened, but they did not all happen in one week!

A big change to Lucy and Desi’s life is how they met. I always think it’s weird to change such a defining moment in people’s lives especially such a dynamic couple. In the film, they meet on a sound stage, but in real life they met at the commissary. I can somewhat understand the shift since the moment they meet really shows just how charming Desi was.
