This obliques challenge is actually a 28 day challenge, which is great! Everyone wants summer abs, yet the obliques are often ignored. Do you want those amazing side abs? Those are your obliques, and after this challenge you’ll truly see a big difference in your definition and strength. Summer abs take dedication, like 30 days of dedication. That’s why we love 30 day fitness challenges!

This challenge contains four exercises, and they’re intense: wood chops, side plank, toe touches, and Russian twists. We decided to do the wood chops without weights, because you have to do both sides and by the end you’re doing 50 wood chops. Trust us, it’s still hard, but use weights if you want. We chose to make sure our form was stellar throughout, rather than pushing with dumbbells. That’s how we got the most out of it.

This fitness challenge starts out approachable, then ramps way up. We love that. You really want to work on your form for all of these exercises. That’s how you’re going to get the most out of this challenge and get your summer abs. Take your time at the beginning of this challenge. During the first week you’re laying the ground work for the rest of the month.

You’re totally going to feel it by the end. The Russian twists become very intense and make sure you do them on a mat! You can totally break up the exercises into sets, so work your way up to powering through the whole challenge! Good luck and let us know how you do.
