30 day abs and squat challenge review is here! This abs and squat challenge is intense. It’s a challenge that will test your physical ability, but also your mental ability. This is another challenge where you don’t have any rests. Prior to starting this challenge I was up for having no rest days, but it definitely makes any challenge more intense.
The crux of this abs and squat challenge is sits up and squats. You do sits up every day and you do squats all but two days. That was the only thing that both Mandi and I felt was a bit off about the challenge was there were two days where you substituted plank for squats. It definitely would have been nice if this continued through the challenge, but it did not. I’d still give this challenge a 9/10 because it is such a confronting challenge.
I was looking for a confronting challenge prior to starting this one. Like many of the other challenges, it starts of extremely approachable, but by the end you’re doing 80 sit ups, 80 crunch twists, and 100 squats. My full body was screaming at me after this challenge, but the scream is of course good.
This challenge touts itself as an abs and squats challenge, but it is a full body challenge. I love that because I felt so strong finishing this. If you’re not as comfortable with sit ups I highly recommended breaking them up into sets. Honestly since the reps get so high I would recommend that for all three of the exercises.
This is a three exercise a day challenge. The third exercise is always a variation of a crunch. I like that part because it definitely gives this challenge variety as opposed to if it was just straight sits up and squats every day.
Make sure you prepare yourself for this challenge as the ab and squats challenge is intense! Commit to 30 days and you’ll feel so strong when you’re finished!
