Fit Mom: First Run Post Baby | BuzzChomp Fitness Vlog

All about our fit mom vlog. We had our first run post baby! WOO! Running was awesome and a challenge.

I’ve been talking about getting back to running since the day I gave birth! I’ve wanted nothing more than to get to running. I knew I needed to wait and last week I felt I waited long enough!

I really put a lot of thought into my first run. Let me tell you I was a bit nervous too which was just me being silly. I decided I was totally going to go with how I felt. I had been running 4.5 miles during my pregnancy. I knew I wasn’t going to go out and run that. I knew I would run less.

I ended up running almost 2.5 miles. Mind you it was a very slow 2.5 miles but I hadn’t run in a month and my body is still transitioning. I totally need to help my body run faster. Prior to getting pregnant I thought about pace but I had a much faster pace but now I need to get my run consistent and that pace will come!

I’ve been out for multiple runs and I’ve felt great and every time I’m running faster. I need to this week start running farther. I’m going to though listen to my body which is what I recommend to all you ladies getting back out there to run OR even if you want to start running.

I’m reminding myself to take my time. I was pregnant for nine months and my body has changed. I’m making sure to be true to myself. Before I know it I will be back up to my pre-pregnancy 5.5 mile/6 days a week runs! Until then I’m enjoying being out there!

I can’t wait to start running with my baby girl. That will definitely be its own journey!

Every Wednesday we’ll have a new Fit Mom vlog! I’ll be tracking my post baby fitness, meals, and workouts! Join me on my new adventure as I recommit to my fitness journey!
