No matter what happens in Westworld season 2, it all comes back to Dr. Ford’s control. We witnessed Delores meeting with Bernard, which is likely in the future and her way of creating fidelity on Bernard being Arnold. That’s Ford’s control and this entire season is potentially all Bernard’s memory as he recounts it to Delores. We watched William question his own daughter’s humanity and Delos scramble to stop the bleeding. They can’t. Ford is in control. We are all witnesses.
Dr. Ford is inside the cradle thanks to Bernard AKA Arnold’s help. The two old friends are nearly reunited and Westworld may be saved after all. The only question that remains is not so simple to comprehend. Is the cradle the real world for the hosts, or is our world still the real world? We’re dealing with a reverse “Matrix” and human-hosts who may not have access. Only Ford is in control.
