The Mandalorian Episode 7 Reaction | Trapped

With only one episode left of The Mandalorian, Mando and baby Yoda are totally trapped! It was definitely a great episode and left us with a big cliffhanger. Our episode 7 reaction explores the current reality and what’s to come in the season finale.

The most recent episode of The Mandalorian, episode 7 “The Reckoning,” brought us a ton of OMG moments. It was our first official cliffhanger of the season, even though season 1 had the baby Yoda reveal. Mando and baby Yoda are now trapped. They’ve technically been trapped the whole series, but everything led up to this moment when the old empire closed in on them. Check out our full reaction video, then comment below with your theories of what’s to come.

SPOILERS ahead from The Mandalorian episode 7, so don’t say I didn’t warn you. I loved how this episode brought back Greef Karga, played by Carl Weathers, as well as Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano, Kuiil, played by Nick Nolte, IG-11 played by Taika Waititi, and Moff Gideon played by Giancarlo Esposito. During this whole series I’ve wanted Mando to find his crew. Now he finally has it with Karga, Cara, and Kuiil. He recognized that he needs help to protect baby Yoda, yet somehow got trapped in a mess.

It was no secret that Karga would double cross Mando, but what can Mando do? He needed to try to end things and it made sense that killing the Imperial officer would end the whole search for him and baby Yoda. Luckily for Mando, he again proved his loyalty by protecting Karga. Then baby Yoda came in for the win, used the force, and sucked out the poison from Karga to save his life.

The whole episode came down to the very end and literal entrapment. I knew it wouldn’t be easy for Mando to end things. Karga kept insisting that there were just four guys guarding the Imperial officer. That was definitely a red flag. The twist then came when we learned that the Imperial officer was truly a middle man. In comes Moff Gideon, who held his forces back and was able to capture baby Yoda. WTF!

I knew that this episode would not end on a high note, but Mando and baby Yoda are stuck! Kuiil appears to be dead, but I’m hoping he’s not, even though that seems unlikely. This episode set up a finale where Mando must have an amazing escape. Moff Gideon is definitely going to flaunt that he has baby Yoda in Mando’s face! The show is primed to drop Boba Fett into the final episode as well, hopefully coming to the aid of Mando.
