The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 Ep 10 it finally happens. June, no longer safe in Canada since the growing dissent among Canadians, but also Gilead’s infiltration. Just like I predicted the whole season, finally we see that not so unlikely alliance.

The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5 Ep 10 it finally happens. June, no longer safe in Canada tries to escape with Luke, who now is a fugitive after protecting June from that crazy Gilead supporter. Of course, just like I predicted, June and Serena form that unlikely alliance in the end.

Luke can’t catch a break. He gets June back, their raising Nicole, finding out where Hannah is, and then he ends up killing a man. It doesn’t even matter that it was because the man tried to kill June. He’s a Canadian and Luke is not. Luke, finally able to do what he can to protect June and he sacrifices his life. Now maybe next season Luke will get cleared because the man tried to kill June.

When Hulu announced that Testaments, the sequel to The Handmaid’s Tale, will be a series, I had a feeling where the show would go. After season 5, I do not think there will be a bow put on this show. I do not think Hannah will be rescued, and I think June will end up in hiding.

Season 5 ending with June and Serena on the train makes it feel like the end of this show will lead to June exiling herself from her families life. I’m still figuring out how Serena fits into this, but the show can take her anywhere.

The Commander Lawrence story line is just okay to me. Lawrence showed so much compassion as well as regret over how Gilead that turned out that I don’t think he would sacrifice that just to get back into power and try to fix it. It doesn’t feel like it’s 100% on brand. Nick should have just continued to infiltrate Gilead instead of attacking Lawrence. That was dumb of him.
