The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 ep8 Reaction is all about the breaking point. Only a few episodes left this season and everything is boiling over. June is coming to terms with who she is in Canada and finally we see more of Aunt Lydia in Gilead. Oh my!

That’s right, The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 ep8, Testimony, reaction focuses solely on the breaking point. Really we see June and Aunt Lydia each hitting their breaking point in the post June Gilead era. It’s now definitely the turning point in how these women will take their vengeance from here on out. Make sure you check out our full reaction video.

Beware of Spoilers

This is the episode where June finally gets to see the Waterfords up close and in personal. She gives her testimony against them. June has been looking forward to this. She makes this known in her group and really encourages them to get in touch with their vengeance. Moira is not down with this, but it’s so evident that June and the others need to express their anger. It definitely works for June and she’s reveling in getting her revenge on the Waterfords.

There is the whole thing with Emily and the Aunt. Emily definitely needed June to expose this Aunt to her. All the aunt wanting was for Emily to figure her, but this woman actively wronged Emily. She didn’t have to turn Emily in and she still did it. This Aunt didn’t deserve Emily’s forgiveness. She did what she did and it only feels like she wants her forgiveness now so she can move on.

Finally, finally we see what happened to Janine! I knew she wasn’t dead, but Commander Lawrence basically gave her to Aunt Lydia. I don’t agree with Commander Lawrence thinking that Aunt Lydia needs someone to take her rage out on. That’s not true. Aunt Lydia was asked to turn women who they held against there role into subservient women. They took their children, killed their husbands, but now the new recruits are different. They’ve grown up in Gilead and some probably see this as their “duty.”

The Handmaid’s Tale season 4 ep8 really showed us just where all these characters are! Gilead has some serious enemies in June and the former Handmaid’s. What did you all think of this episode?
