Motivation is what gets you started but your fitness habit is what keeps you going. I’ve stressed this before that motivation is just beginning. It of course is a great beginning but it will only get you so far.
When it comes to your fitness habit you’ve got to link your motivation and your habit. This is why I love mantra’s so much and have given you a myriad of mantra’s this year. For me though motivational quotes get me going. They remind me how great I feel after my workouts!
I can’t say it enough that motivation comes from within. In the end it is you who motivates yourself to go and workout. It is you alone who benefits from it. I can’t remind you enough that your fitness habit is all about you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that though. It is the one thing you can be totally selfish about.
This time of year is tough to stay motivated but don’t fall into that trap! Keep your motivation strong. Make your workouts time for you and embrace them all through this holiday season! Embrace your motivation for your fitness habit.
