Food is the most overused drug in America and Fitness is the most underused free antidepressant. It’s no secret that Fitness makes you happy. It released endorphins that make you feel great. I can’t remember ever having a great work out and then being depressed afterwards. It just doesn’t happen.
That being said this is a great Motivation Monday to close out your first month of 2018. Repeat to yourself that fitness is the free antidepressant. If you’re feeling down go out for a run. Hit up your favorite workout class or go to the gym! I promise it will make you feel better in the morning.
I love that fitness is a great free antidepressant. We take for granted being able to help ourselves and I know I’m guilty of indulging in food if my day doesn’t go right. That is a habit that I’m breaking because it doesn’t ever make me feel better but what always makes me feel better is fitness!
Remind yourself that fitness is the most underused free antidepressant. Get out there and sweat out your problems. Trust me that it works and you’ll indulge in it every day. Soon you’re problems won’t get you down you’ll face them head on.
