Goals often get repeated over and over, but milestones get reached. Fitness success is about creating a sustainable lifestyle for yourself that includes exercise you enjoy. It’s about working toward a milestone and adjusting as needed. Life has no time limit, so don’t put one on a goal. Reach your milestone and celebrate!
Before the first milestone of 2018, I will be doing several activities I love. I’m getting into the yoga studio for an in-person class, rather than just doing online yoga. I’m getting up when it’s still dark out and going for a run. Nothing beats the quiet of morning exercise! I’ll be extending the circuits I do at home and pushing my limits, as well as doing something that scares me.
What will you accomplish to start the year? Pick things that excite you and you’ll enjoy. That guarantees your fitness success.
