The Black Phone review | Pure & Simple Horror Gold

The Black Phone review is all about this pure and simple horror gold movie. This is a solid horror movie. There are no real twist or turns, but they set up the story and world and it reeled me in right from the start!

The Black Phone review is all about this pure and simple horror gold movie. I love horror movies and I appreciate a wide variety of them. This one is really good. It’s a simple story. The grabber terrorizes a neighborhood by taking boys never to be found again.

Watch My 30 Second Review

The film focuses on Finny, the final boy to be taken by the grabber. His home life is not the best. His father, played fabulously by Jeremy Davies is an abusive alcoholic grieving the death of his wife. Finny’s sister Gwen is a touched. She dreams things that are real and knows things that no one can know. These three do a fantastic job.

Ethan Hawke is super creepy in this film. The masks are so simple. We don’t ever see his aggressive and terrifying nature, but we feel it. I like that. I’m glad they didn’t show what he’s done to the boys, but instead we feel the fear through the boys as well as through Finny.

The Black Phone is simple horror gold! I really enjoyed it. Share with me your thoughts and make sure you watch our quick review.
