Rebel spies exposed! Good thing, or Darth Vader would have certainly killed off Obi-Wan. Instead, he let him go. Knowing the future is making Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 a bit less dramatic, but Vader is still bad ass.
The Rebel Alliance is back! Tala is working solo to help Obi-Wan and Leia, but we know Rebel spies are everywhere. Reva, the Inquisitors, and Darth Vader show up to “kill” them. In classic Star Wars fashion, Darth Vader could have, definitely should have, killed Obi-Wan. What happened to his force lightning or maybe floating over the flames? Vader let him go, just like Reva simply captures Leia instead of killing her. Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 is a little weak sauce in terms of fighting, but thankfully Darth Vader is badass. Maybe the show is mimicking Obi-Wan’s own abilities, or lack thereof? Maybe. Rebel spies unite!
Taking place ten years after Star Wars Episode 3 is cool. Filling in the gaps to Obi-Wan Kenobi’s story is also cool, along with a pretty bad ass young Princess Leia. It’s too bad we already watched a loner come out of exile to save a child and return him home. Fortunately this is Star Wars, where recycling old plots is the expectation.

We need more lightsaber battles and force powers. I want the light versus the dark and a hero worth watching. Perhaps Obi-Wan Kenobi season 1 will deliver, but right now old Ben is a sorry sack of a hero and the Inquisitors are kind of awesome.
