I tried Pure Barre and loved it!

Listen up people! Switching up your workouts, you’re exercise routine, is super important. I’m often guilty of indulging in the same style workout. I get in a groove with my running, yoga and the exercise machines. But last week I broke free and tried something new. It was time. Sure, I jump rope and in recent months I’ve added in interval runs, but it was time for something completely different! Last week I switched up my workout and tried Pure Barre. Wow!

What’s Pure Barre? I’ll tell you! Ladies, it’s one of the fastest ways to change your body. It focuses on small isometric movements at the ballet bar, but no ballet experience needed. Pure Barre tones your thighs, abs, and arms and burns fat in record breaking time. How awesome is that! It was created by a dancer and fitness guru so you know it’s a killer workout to boot.

My friends who consistently do Pure Barre absolutely rave about it! They hounded me for months to try it, so naturally I didn’t want to. Just kidding! I had tried other bar method style classes before and just thought they were okay. In those other classes I didn’t even break a sweat, and personally I don’t feel like I’ve worked out unless I’ve sweat thoroughly! But let me tell you, Pure Barre was different.

I tried Pure Barre for the first time last week and I’ll admit it, I was a little nervous. I wanted a great workout and didn’t know what to expect. All I have to say is woah! The instructor was amazing! She was very fit and knew exactly what she was doing. Win, win. We did a lot of bar work and my legs and thighs were def shaking! The instructor worked in light weights and by the end my arms could barely lift anymore. We worked our core and even though the class was only an hour it built up and ramped down nicely. The best part though, I got a great sweat!

The class was a nice mix of women who take Pure Barre a lot and others that were new like me. It was an extremely encouraging environment and I’ll definitely be adding it into my weekly workouts! I loved the energy of the class. The instructor made a point of knowing most everyone’s names. How awesome! It was so personal.

Pure Barre is mostly for women, but great all the same! It’s a lot of being on your tippy toes and squeezing in and up. I definitely walked out of there feeling great and energized! I can’t wait to go back!
