Secrets and lies are unraveling the entire House of the Dragon, leading to desperate heartbreak. Our Queen is heartbroken because she realizes Rhaenyra was lying and has a lover. That lover then murders the lover of Rhaenyra’s now husband. Daemon is the only one without heartbreak, as his secrets and lies lead to the murder of his wife. No longer married! Our King has fallen very ill, yet it appears as though he’s going to live for much longer than anyone anticipates. Spoiler: Another time jump is coming. That’s why this marriage is so critical, because dragons marry dragons. Everyone’s heartbroken as this super big wedding comes crashing down as one man’s face gets beaten into a pulp. When you have ten dragons, only dragon battles will lead to your downfall. The poison seed in the House of the Dragon is both obvious and secret. We know Daemon is bad blood, but he’s also keeping the best interests of the kingdom in mind. Too much prosperity has left Westeros prone to attack, mainly from within. Now Prince Aegon threatens to undermine everything.
Greed and power hunger sink empires, so are we witnessing the beginning of the end? Or is this succession plan the start of a new chapter of bad ass queens ruling with an iron fist? Each decision parallels the future that we know and love, making this show all that more enveloping and interesting. We even got a warning about the coming winter… which may begin sooner than later.
