What is left of free will as we head back to the future foretold by the math of Foundation season 1? Nothing. All that is known will come to be, unless of course Gaal changes things with her super powers. My Episode 7 reaction and more.
No matter how hard they fight fate, it’s icy grip proves inescapable. The math behind Foundation season 1 told us what would be, and now we are headed back to the future and straight into the inevitable. Gaal can feel the future, literally. That is her super power. Salvor can see the past, literally, with the vault’s help. Now that both are stranded in space, the first phase of Empire’s fall has begun.
If you needed any more proof that all of Hari’s math is reality, just look toward Brother Dawn. He is biologically different than every other Clean clone. Empire is literally vanishing in plain sight. Is Brother Dawn just like the original Clean, minus the genetic fixes that were made along the way? Is he something brand new with an actual unique soul? Either truth spells the end of Empire. Foundation season 1 must now connect our heroes before reality is lost for good.
I may have to do some reading, because I’m loving Foundation season 1 and its based upon one of the most acclaimed science fiction series of all time. Isaac Asimov’s Foundation began as a trilogy, but became even more books in the end. After the robot wars, Empire took control. Now the power is crumbling, war is erupting, and humanity is dangerously close to annihilation. Only one scientist sees a means to preserve our knowledge, with a foundation.
