Its time for Fitness Motivation and that means implementing the mantra to get fit for life, not just for summer. It’s part of our BuzzChomp fitness series.
Summer is here and since I live in Los Angeles, everyone is aiming for a summer body. I’m still seeing a lot of ads stating that it’s not too late to get “fit for summer.” While I love setting a goal and I’ve definitely been guilty of getting “fit for summer” in the past, it’s definitely not the best goal to set. Our new goal is to get fit for life!
Make sure you repeat that to yourself when you wake up, then repeat it again during your workout, and repeat it once more before you go to bed. Make that the focus of your workouts and make it your end goal. If you’re just getting started on your fitness journey you might think that first I want to lose 20 pounds, and yes you will lose those 20 pounds with this mantra. That doesn’t have to be your main goal, because I find that you’ll keep coming back to losing weight when its your focus.
That’s why use your fitness motivation is to get fit for life. It’s the hardest to get there, but once you’re in the fit for life zone it is so much easier to maintain it. Trust me when I tell you that the secret is once you’re there, it’s so much easier to maintain! Get fit for Life.
