Fit Mom: Why I Log Calories | BuzzChomp Fitness Vlog

We’re on our fit mom journey and that means healthy eating along with exercise. This week’s vlog is all about why I log calories! Our Buzzchomp fitness vlog.

 

I began logging calories a few years ago, prior to getting married, and have continued ever since. I needed to take control of my fitness journey and be honest with myself. It really opened my eyes to what I was eating. I always ate “healthy” but I definitely splurged a lot more than I ever admitted. Being honest with myself helped me get to my fitness and health goals! It will help you too!

I’ve continued to log my calories all these years later, and its crucial to being a fit mom. Sometimes I’m more strict on myself and sometimes I am not. Since giving birth I’ve been using my calorie log as a guide. I’m breastfeeding, so I’m definitely not restricting my calorie intake. I do not want to jeopardize my milk for my baby, but I’m also determined to eat healthy for myself and my little girl.

 

I use MyFitnessPal to log calories and love it. It’s extremely populated with food items, including restaurants. It will truly keep you accountable, especially when you go out to eat. I love how many restaurants are on there, and I always check when out to it. It has definitely stopped me from eating many meals that had way too many calories! That’s a big reason why I log my calories.

No matter where you are on your fit mom journey, logging calories is a great tool. Just don’t go overboard. Remember to use it as a guide and not obsess over it! That is what I do and why I’m feeling great and having the success I want
