Super Bowl 2027 Best Bets for the AFC and NFC
One team per conference is a great bet to win Super Bowl 2027. With a veteran QB and odds worth a wager, the Vikings and Steelers prepare to make magic

Before we get into our Week 1 previews and begin our laser focus of the New York Jets and Giants, we must first take a look at the Super Bowl 2027 odds across the league. Is there a favorite bet to win the Super Bowl? Are either of our teams worth a longshot flyer?? Who is the best bet in the AFC and NFC?

The Los Angeles Rams are the favorites this season to win Super Bowl 2027 by quite a considerable margin. It makes sense that the Rams have the lowest odds; they feel like the best/most talented team. They have stars at every level, on both sides of the ball. Their depth feels like a question, but there isn’t really any other question about their qualifications. However, 5-to-1 feels insanely low for any favorite, especially one with a 38-year-old starting quarterback. They are not a good bet, so which teams are?

Todd Salem: Minnesota Vikings are Best Bet
The odds trickle down in a more paced descent after Los Angeles, with Buffalo, Baltimore, and Seattle rounding out the top four best bets for Super Bowl 2027, all with odds around 10- or 11-to-1. If forced to pick a favorite to win the title, I’d probably go with Ravens, but they are far from my favorite bet on the board.

Toward the back end of teams I would call middle shots sit the Giants at +6500 to +7000. They aren’t true longshots, but no one thinks they are legitimate title contenders. In true longshot territory are the Jets, with odds as high as +40000. They have the third-longest odds in the league, ahead of only Miami and Arizona.
Not sure if you agree, but I don’t think either New York squad feels like a good value bet. As we outlined in our best-case scenarios, too much has to go right for either club to even make the playoffs, let alone be set up to contend.
Just ahead of the Giants in the pecking order, though, sits a team that has me really intrigued. It’s a team with one of the great offensive minds at head coach and arguably the best defensive coordinator in the sport. This team always has a great defense despite having few household names on the unit. On offense, they have premiere skill players, a good offensive line, and just added a quarterback with high upside. They are in a tough division, but not one with a true blueblood to contend with.

My favorite pick on the board, with odds as high as +5000, is the Minnesota Vikings. They might finish dead last in the NFC North if things gel poorly, but if the chips fall in their favor, a Super Bowl run could easily happen once in 50 tries, right? Right?

Dan Salem: Pittsburgh Steelers are Best Bet
After last season’s Seahawks versus Patriots Super Bowl, how can anyone truly feel confident in a championship pick for this year? I sure don’t, but I am well equipped to make a choice anyhow. The Los Angeles Rams are my pick among the favorites to win the Super Bowl, although I don’t think they actually pull it off. Much like last season, it’s very likely that a team viewed to be in the middle rises up to the very top.

I do agree with you that neither New York team is a very good bet. There’s simply too much that needs to go right for either team to make the playoffs, let alone win the Super Bowl. It’s hard to ignore +40000 as a wager, but that money is better spent elsewhere. Now maybe if the Giants were +20000 I’d consider a small bet, but they aren’t. Let’s get to the really solid bets and a team who can actually win this thing.
In the category of teams with a legitimate shot at winning the title, I would pick the Denver Broncos at +2000. The odds are just okay, but Denver was extremely close to making the Super Bowl last year. I doubt anyone would have beaten Seattle, but the Broncos are certainly in line to make another playoff run this season. I view them as a solid bet, although I do like the odds of my next team even better.

While the Vikings are an intriguing pick, I don’t view the NFC as open enough for that to be realistic. Over in the AFC we have a much different story, which is why I like the Pittsburgh Steelers at anywhere from +6000 to +8000 to win the Super Bowl. Aaron Rodgers has been reunited with the coach who helped him win his only Super Bowl. Pittsburgh was seemingly stuck in the middle at 9-8 for a decade, but perhaps a coaching change is exactly what they needed. Rodgers was at his best with McCarthy and the Steelers have a good defense and running game. As long as that doesn’t evaporate along with the change of head coach, this team can be dangerous. Rodgers can ride off in the sunset with an evil grin and a championship in hand.
