It’s all about Being Thankful!

By now its obvious, I absolutely love Thanksgiving! The turkey, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, the pies, cookies, biscuits, rum buns and cakes! Oh my! All that yummy and delicious food; I’m sinking into a food coma just thinking about it.  Lucky for me I get to have TWO Thanksgiving dinners! Yep, on both Thursday and Saturday I’ll be feasting.  But amid the festivities and food, we can’t lose sight of what Thanksgiving is really about.  It’s about being Thankful!

All of us live busy lives full of crazy different things and it’s so easy to get wrapped up in them, especially around this time of year.  Let it all go peeps! The holidays seem to bring out stress, which is just silly! This time of year is all about being Thankful.  It’s about family and how grateful we all should be to be healthy and living. Yah!

Let me share with you what I’m thankful for.  First, my health! I’ve been focusing on my fitness all year long and it has really paid off.  I feel great! I’m able to run farther, faster, longer, and harder! I’m focused.  I crave working out and the way it makes my body feel.  It’s extremely satisfying to wake up in the morning and feel like you can take on the world! Not once this year did I utter the words, ‘If only I felt better.’  Nope! I’ve felt great! No colds, no illness; oh yeah, that’s how we do it! I’m completely in tune with my body, having been sick in the past, and I’m grateful for every moment of feeling healthy and wonderful!

We’re healthy! Woo! But I’m even more thankful for the love of my life. My man and I were lucky and blessed to get married this year.  Yep! We took that next step! It definitely was one of those experiences that I will cherish all of my life. And while my life hasn’t really changed since getting married, I’m definitely grateful for having a pure and true love in my life. Every morning I wake up next to the most incredible person I’ve ever met.  Someone who doesn’t judge me, who makes me a better person and who’s always pushing me to reach my goals.

Let’s not forget those special people in our lives. I’m so grateful to have wonderful family and friends!  The company we keep always makes things better! My wedding wouldn’t have been the same without sharing it with so many amazing people that all mean so much to me. Not to mention, my family expanded this year! My brother and sister-in-law had their first child.  A cute little baby Mellen! I met Alexander this week!

I’m so lucky to have such wonderful things to be grateful for in my life.  And I know you do too! These are things I think about every day of the year and not just at the holidays, but they definitely feel heightened from now through Christmas. Relish in what you’re thankful for! Say thank you out loud. It’ll bring joy to your life and trust me, you’ll want to embrace that joy all year long!
