His Dark Materials Season 2 New Predictions from Trailer

Some things never change, but His Dark Materials season 2 is flipping the script. Without reading the books, I make new predictions from what little we know.

 

Having not read the books, these are my bold and new predictions for His Dark Materials Season 2. The trailer gave us way too much to ponder and spoiled a ton of my predictions I made after season 1 ended. But I’m sticking to my big ones. Lyra will kill her father, but I think Will kills his dad now too! They form a lover’s bond and track down their dads to the death.

Marisa appears evil through and through, a change from my earlier His Dark Materials Season 2 predictions. I also now believe Lee is front and center in protecting Lyra from whatever evil is plaguing the multiverse. As part of the larger series, season 2 is going to be solely about the chase. We got the set up in season 1, so now Lyra is chasing her dad while being chased by the bad guys. This sets up an epic battle with Will on her side to conclude the series. Am I right? Am I way off? We shall see.

The great thing about His Dark Materials is that its not abiding by traditional rules. Season one pulled from every book in the series, not just the first. That means season two will be full of even more surprises! I have not read a page of this series, so my predictions are genuine.
