Super Bowl recipes: Hot and Spicy baked Chicken wings

Super Bowl recipes that are both wonderfully delicious and healthy are a treat. These hot and spicy backed chicken wings are so good, so easy to make, and perfect for a party!

Sometimes you just want to splurge a little after being so good with your diet and exercise, but you don’t want to overdo it. Good news; there’s no need to fry your chicken wings when you can bake them and get the same great spicy flavors. I love to make these wings, especially as one of my Super Bowl recipes. One taste and you and your guests will never know your attempts at being healthy.

Bring on the big game with these tasty wings.

Hot and Spicy baked Chicken wings

Ingredients:

1/2 cup hot sauce (I like Franks Hot Sauce)

2 tablespoons brown sugar

Juice of one lime

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

2 teaspoons paprika

1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 pounds chicken wings

1 bunch scallions, thinly sliced (white only)

Blue Cheese dressing (I like Marie’s Blue Cheese Dressing)

Carrot sticks

Celery sticks

Directions:

Whisk the first eight ingredients (hot sauce through black pepper) in a bowl.

Place chicken wings in a baking dish.  Pour sauce mixture over wings.  Top with scallions.

Refrigerate for eight hours or overnight.

Pre-heat oven to 350 F.  Bake for 35-45 minutes, turning the wings over a few times during baking.

Serve with Blue Cheese dressing, carrots, and celery sticks.

Enjoy!
