Oh, Christmas Tree!

This morning I noticed something; and the proverbial light went on in my head (and I was not too happy!).

Every year, dozens-upon-dozens of leftover Christmas trees will be left on the side of the road. Some are discarded from people’s homes and some are cast aside by rogue buyers and sellers.

THOUSANDS of God’s wonderful creations (which will help save our planet if we’d only choose to keep them in the ground!) lie in waste at a cost and consequence we’ve yet to fully realize.

Tree of Life!

As you know, trees are the lungs of our planet. They clean the air we breathe by reducing harmful chemicals in our atmosphere and they help diminish the amount of CO2 we continue to pump into our air (which can help thwart the all to present threat of climate change, which we continue to avoid).

And all these trees ask in-return is to be left alone to flourish! A little water, sunshine and that’s it!

Hey and ya know what?! It’s almost 2013 – I think we’ve finally been able to create the perfect artificial tree for indoor use… (ummm, Ya think?!?). And these artificial trees look fantastic! There are small ones, tall ones, pre-lit, life-like, some lose needles (just like the real thing!), some actually smell real (aaahhhh), and the best part…, they are affordable!

I know, I know. Having a “real tree” is part of the whole “Christmas experience.” Some families make a whole day-of-it… picking out the perfect tree, drinking hot coco, buying Christmas pies, taking pictures with Santa, (awe, that’s cute). Some people even cut down their own trees, or grow them themselves, only to take them down and bring them inside. (Ouch!)

So please folks, I encourage you…after this holiday season is over, go out and purchase an artificial tree (in the clearance aisle of course!). You’ll be able to use it year-after-year and hey, you may even save the planet while you’re at it! Not a bad deal! Wow! Look at you…doing something to help the Earth! You rock!

Christmas related song selections below, just to help you remember the good deed you are about to do! 🙂

    ABSOLUTELY!

If you must use a real tree at least heat your home with it. Sheesh!

Or better yet, buy a live Christmas tree and plant it after Christmas. We have done that several times.

We have had a perfectly beautiful artificial tree for the last 20 years! It is so gorgeous, in fact, most people don’t even realize it is a fake-

Until I point out that there is no ‘pine fresh’ scent filling the house!

    Merry Christmas!
