Running is great, but interval running with HIIT Training is amazing. Fifteen second and twenty second intervals combine for an intense and incredible 30 minute workout.
Start running on the treadmill, then blast into those intervals, ultimately ending with a steady run. The intensity comes from the incline.
HIIT Training is for everyone, as Mandi Mellen wrote earlier. So is running, so push yourself and break those limits. Get at it.
