It was SO obvious that Ellie knew the TRUTH, so why now? Joel’s swan song feels out of place in The Last Of Us season 2.
Don’t get me wrong, I liked Joel and Ellie’s backstory, but WHY NOW? It has no bearing on her current quest for revenge and sure he lied to her about mass murdering people to save one life. The cure which is her. But I DON’T believe for one second there isn’t another doctor in the ENTIRE world that can make a cure. Nor do I believe they had to kill Ellie to make the cure. The Last Of Us season 2 gets all teary eyed, but a little too late.

Is mass death looming for everyone? The Wolves will fight to the death and the fungus has already overtaken the community, so all that’s left is for Ellie to once again fight for survival and get revenge. Good thing, because watching her try to “fit it” and live a “normal” life was just weird. Its humans versus the fungus and humans versus humans, not dance parties and sing-a-longs.

We got the calm before the storm, but it barely lasted a day. Now the show has exploded in our faces. I knew something big was coming but can’t accurately make predictions, because I don’t know the video games well enough. No spoilers, just my reactions and wild predictions anyhow.
