The blind confidence of Ellie is sickening in The Last Of Us season 2. Sure she is immune and Joel made things safe by finding them a community, but seeking out the infected to fight them with knives is ridiculous! My gut tells me she’s about to face a harsh reality with The Fireflies aiming to attack and the fungus looming in the sewers. Time for Joel to fight, because he’s out of his element behind a desk!

Is mass death looming for everyone? The Fireflies will fight to the death and the fungus has already overtaken the community, so all that’s left is for Joel and Ellie to once again fight for survival. Good thing, because watching them try to “fit it” and live a “normal” life is just weird. It does not fit either one of them and in this universe its humans versus the fungus and humans versus humans, not dance parties and sing-a-longs.
