Talk about pushing us off the cliff. Severance season 1 exploded its simple premise all over us like a volcano erupting, so let’s deep dive what we think we know.
The BIGGEST Cliffhanger imaginable was the cherry on top of Severance season 1. Deep diving just how gut wrenching the final moments were and what it actually means to this sci-fi universe. Something sinister and twisted is going on, like resurrecting the dead via experimentation so as to bring back the original Eagen, but severed so he can live a normal new life. Or just run of the mill mind control and mental torture, but voluntary! Severance season 1 is wild.

“She’s Alive” will forever be etched into my brain. Banging on the door screaming “Burt” and Helly screaming the truth on live television. This was the ending to Severance season 1 with nothing more for nearly two years. Thankfully I did not personally have to wait that long for more Severance, but wow. The cliffhanger was off the charts!

Severance is uniquely relatable, while also being completely out there and unique. It captures the monotony of cubicle life very well, and the co-worker relationship that is formed via self imposed imprisonment in the little worker bee box. Yet its truly science fiction, with very little explanation as to the motivations behind the science. Let me know what you thought and check out my reaction video.
