The West Wing Revisited S1E16 and it’s all about redemption. There are two major issues this episode. One dealing with the President and his big donor and the other dealing with the Vice President and him finally getting some respect from the President.

The West Wing Revisited S1E16 and it’s all about redemption. The President spends 20 hours in LA and has to prove himself to a huge donor, accept a somewhat loss, and also rethink an issue that he thought was ridiculous!
The West Wing S1E16 Reaction

First, the major donor who’s throwing the President a fundraising event wants the President to denounce a bill banning gays in the military. Of course, the president can’t do this, but he does passionately explain to the man how much he disagrees with this!

I love the whole flag burning issue. The President at first doesn’t understand it, but we have Joey King who has a ton of data on it. She understands that it’s a domestic terrorist issue and a national pride issue. I definitely think this will come back again when he runs for re-election.
The Vice President gets a big win and respect from the President. A big issue for the VP has been standing his ground against an excise tax and now the President wants him to vote for it. By the end, the President agrees with him and they have a really great moment.
This is a really great episode, but some of these issues in it we’re are still debating today. What are your thoughts on S1E16. Make sure you watch my reaction video.
