The expectations are enormous, too big in fact for these two teams to ever accomplish this season. Both the Packers and 49ers are destined to disappoint.
Which teams will TOTALLY disappoint in 2025, missing the playoffs when everyone expects greatness? The San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers will BOTH disappoint. Tough divisions, ageing and injured players, and a collective inability to be as good as advertised. This will doom the Packers and 49ers this season.

Time will tell if the optimist (Dan), the pessimist (Bud), or the realist (Phil) is accurate about the disappointing teams of this new season. Here’s hoping the games are fun to watch!
