May December Movie Love Hate Relationship

A disturbing film with unhappy people who want you to love them, but its so damn hard. May December movie is truly unique. Its really good, but I don’t know if I like it.

I have a love hate relationship with the new May December movie on Netflix. The acting is phenomenal, so we truly believe this woman fell in love with a seventh grader. But Gracie is despicable and unlikable and a negative energy vampire! What saves her is watching an actress, Natalie Portman, transform into her and ultimately sleep with the same man. Everyone is unhappy, no one says what they think, and its completely disturbing. May December is truly unique.

They couldn’t make a movie about someone falling in love with a seventh grader, so May December was born. An actress is studying a woman who fell in love with a seventh grader, or at least that is what she claims. Nothing is easy with Gracie, especially the truth.

Gracie is an energy vampire, meaning she controls and sucks the energy out of everyone in her life. People order from her bakery because its easier than dealing with the crying and screaming that Gracie would share with her community otherwise. The woman is adamant, yet contrived. She is determined, but flailing. Thankfully we also get to witness another person transform into her and repeat her mistakes, if anyone can call them errors.

May December movie is a disturbing film that can’t be called good, only because it leaves you feeling kinda bad. Do we like any of the people in the movie? Do we feel bad for them, or root for them to change? I don’t think so, but its still really well done. Keep your comments coming and then check out our video on May December movie.
