Dark Matter Season 1 Perfects The Book With One Exception

Nothing compares to the insane mystery tornado of the book, but Dark Matter season 1 captures it extremely well and as best as possible. What a great adaptation.

 

In all but one way, Dark Matter season 1 is a near perfect adaptation of the insanely good book by Blake Crouch. There isn’t as much mystery, but they did every reveal so well. Its also less violent, but almost as dark. Read the book first for the suspense, then watch the show for some wild action.

They are making a season two of Dark Matter, meaning this story will enter unwritten territory. The book was a wonderful stand alone tale of darkness and love, but it ended. I am however excited for a second season, because the story can literally go anywhere. Jason and his family have entered the void.

Adapting books into movies and television shows is tricky, but Dark Matter season 1 nailed it. Not surprising, since Blake Crouch wrote the show, but still a huge accomplishment.
