Behind the veil is darkness and light and everything in between. This is the twisted game of Conclave, a masterful film that is my favorite of the season.
Conclave is my favorite movie of this awards season and the twisted game it plays is captivating. One pope dies and another must be chosen… via conclave. Despite never appearing in the film because he’s dead, you always feel as though the game is being manipulated by the dead pope. Our dean is the only man up to the task and as one candidate is passed over, another emerges as was the plan. Conclave is a tapestry of light and dark, just like the event itself.

This is the task of Conclave, a deceitful and righteous endeavor that leaves all but one man in despair. Who is truly in control? We are only left to guess, but the answer is satisfying.
