I love high concept movies, so I was excited for “It’s What’s Inside” on Netflix. But this film is a total body swap movie fail. My movie review dives into the good and the annoyingly bad, because there is a lot I like about this film, but there are some fundamental issues that make it a total fail.

My biggest issue with this film is that I don’t like any of the characters. I didn’t know who the film wanted me to root for and I ended up rooting against everyone. It focused a lot on Shelby and Cyrus, but I didn’t like either of them. They were together for a long time and it felt like neither broke up because they were lazy. Boring.

Even the choices the couple made during their evening with friends didn’t make them likable. It felt like they were both to blame for the bad relationship. The other characters were fine, but nothing more. You completely know what type of people they are, but there could have been a few other elements added that would have made me actually care.

This movie is definitely a body swap fail. It’s What’s Inside tries really hard to be fun and different, but as you’ll see in my movie review, I was actively rooting for everyone to die, but hardly anyone did. How do you feel about these characters? Let me know what you thought and check out my review video.
