Throw out the dual timeline theory. Its way too simple for Westworld. This is the theory of time. Past, present and in between all exist along with memories that might not be real. Our hosts can’t differentiate, so why should we be able to?
William is in the past, but he’s not the Man In Black. He’s somewhere in between times, but is he Arnold? Who is Arnold, because we know one host is actually the creator himself.
