The Lost Daughter Review is a beautiful film! Everything about this film is so good. The acting is fabulous, the direction is perfect, and it’s just so beautiful. Maggie Gyllenhaal does a fabulous job in her directorial debut.
I can’t stress how beautiful this film is and that is really why I loved The Lost Daughter. The film is simple and more in the vain of a slice of life film, but it truly dives into a part of motherhood that we don’t talk about. It’s definitely a subject we should be open to see and discuss.

The acting in this film is amazing. Olivia Coleman and Dakota Johnson are so great! Both of these ladies should be nominated for Oscars. They play these tragic mothers who aren’t happy being mothers. I think that’s okay and that’s a side of being a woman that has to be addressed.
