The Last Of Us Episode 1 | Chosen One

Annihilation meets its match with Joel and Tess and the only human immune. Ellie is feisty, but she needs to learn to use her knife. The Last Of Us begins with style.

Apocalypse, plane crash on Joel’s head, then into the Boston quarantine zone as The Last Of Us destroys all hope we had for humanity. Ellie is the chosen one, humanity’s savior as the only known person with immunity to the fungus. Anything and everything is trying to kill her, but thankfully her escorts Joel and Tess are super bad ass. She also has a pocket knife, which is cute.

I don’t know the story behind The Last Of Us, having never played the video game, so don’t hate on me for trying to predict a future that’s already been determined. It’s Joel and Ellie versus the world, but I’m hoping Tess sticks around for the entire adventure as well. So far very few weapons have been used and even fewer infected have been fought. A war must be coming.

Will Joel make it across the country to his brother Tommy? What’s in Oregon for Ellie? How did Joel and Tess get together? Does any of this matter, since survival is hard enough? This show may never answer the hard questions, but we know the journey will be insane.
