The Handmaid’s Tale Testaments Book to Screen

A perfect ending does exist! The Testaments ended The Handmaid’s Tale in a brilliant twist of worlds colliding, plus more of those quirky historians. Book to screen is inevitable.

The Handmaid’s Tale is an incredible world created on the page and the screen. What would Margaret Atwood’s sequel ‘The Testaments’ look like on screen? Her follow up novel is awesome if you read book one, or watched the show. [**Spoiler Alert**] The book follows Aunt Lydia and June’s two children, both semi grown up now. This would make an incredible final season of the show, except for one tiny problem. June isn’t directly involved. Watch my video for all the dirty details.

There are many ways to make book to screen happen, which I dive into in this video. I also break down the book and what makes it so good, but so different from the first. Its a true sequel and the perfect conclusion to a blip in time that was god-awful for so many people, especially women. Good riddance to Gilead, but we’ll miss your story.

The best television is a play on our own world and how we live. Connecting the past with the future in Testaments was great and a perfect conclusion to The Handmaid’s Tale saga. How will the events of this sequel find their way onto the screen? All bets are off as this surreal dystopia comes alive.
