This episode got emotional! Your highlights of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Ep 5 are here with 5 key moments! This was one of my favorite episodes ever.

 

Five key moments stand out from this latest episode. Whoa! These are your The Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 Ep 5 highlights. It was one of my favorite episodes and really kicked up the emotions for me. It’s titled ‘Unknown Caller’ and deals with Serena wanting to say goodbye to baby Nicole.

Gilead knows everything about everyone, no matter where they are. The beginning of this episode shows us that with our first key moment. Fred brings Serena to a meeting with the other commanders. There they share all of these details about baby Nicole. They know her weight, height, and that she is vaccinated. Talk about abuse of privacy!

This key moment shows that Fred and the commanders are giving Serena a bit of a say, but it also shows just how far Gilead’s reach is! Once they saw Nicole with Luke in that video, they were able to find out all about their life in Canada.

Our second key moment is the phone call between June and Luke. That’s right, Serena decides she wants to see baby Nicole and forces June to call Luke. At first June says no, but then Serena convinces her to do it. Serena makes June convince Luke to bring Nicole to an airport to meet her. It’s a crazy ask which they reluctantly agree to.

The phone call is such an intense moment and June holds it completely together. It was a cruel moment, but she tells Serena that she will owe her. I love that June said that, because I can only imagine what June will want Serena to do.

I’m enjoying the Handmaid’s Tale Season 3 so much! They are doing a great job with progressing the story and this episode set up Serena extremely well. Serena now has the commanders’ trust, a bit of Luke’s, and a debt to June.
