Spicy Garlic Edamame recipe tops restaurant version

When you make edamame just right, it always feels fancy. My spicy garlic edamame recipe is one of the best, topping the restaurant version that inspired it.

I ordered my first spicy garlic edamame as an appetizer at a local restaurant here in Boston, and I was hooked! The combination of savory flavors was something I had to recreate in my kitchen, so I set out to make my own version of this classic dish.

After several attempts, I’m proud to say that my spicy garlic edamame recipe is even better than the restaurant version that first hooked me. I use frozen edamame, seasoned to perfection and roasted just right. This is an easy dish to make at home or on vacation. Plus its delicious, so dive right in!

Spicy Garlic Edamame

  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  2. Place edamame in a large bowl.
  3. In a small bowl combine oil, sliced garlic, salt, chili powder, red pepper flakes and dried oregano.
  4. Pour oil mixture over edamame.
