Snowpiercer Season 3 Episode 9 gives us a Melanie return. A brief happy little reunion then Melanie takes the train. The science has to be there for her to be able to push the hope of New Eden.
Snowpiercer season 3 episode 9 gives us Melanie and then girl takes the train! That’s right, finally we see what happened to Melanie and that she found a mini little train car and was riding it around. The reunion is short lived because when Melanie learns about the New Eden lie she can’t sit around idle.
Quick Review Snowpiercer S3 Episode 9
Wilford played this one right! He knew if Melanie came back on the train that she would not be down to go to the Horn of Africa without knowing if New Eden is truly there. Also they don’t even know what the track is like so they could get stranded, derailed, or worse!
It makes total sense that this is the direction Snowpiercer went with Melanie’s return especially because Layton lies about actually going to New Eden. Melanie can’t let them follow blindly, but it’s a bummer that there is once again a huge divide on the train.

It looks like Melanie and Wilford might join forces especially since Wilford escaped. I really don’t want this to be the case because no one can trust Wilford! Let’s not forget that he left Melanie on the side of the train tracks and did not care whether she lived or died. Her survival is due to how smart she is!
