Snowpiercer season 3 episode 5 is slowly burning. This is definitely more of a filler episode, but one slow episode in the season so far is not a big deal. It definitely moves the story along! Make sure you check out my quick review below.
Quick Review Snowpiercer S3 Episode 5
Layton and Zarah’s baby makes her arrival, but of course not without some drama! While Zarah deals with the birth, Layton searches for the fire starter. Little does he know that it is Pike. Pike harbors a lot of resentment to Layton for him leaving the train.
Pike and Ruth have an awkward encounter where he urges her to join him against Layton. Telling Ruth once again that she should be in charge of the train. I do think Ruth would be a great leader for the train, but I don’t want another battle for control. This would separate the people way too much.

Ben and Josie get together and this will definitely complicate things once Melanie returns. Yes, I’m still thinking they will find her in the next few episodes! She’s returning by the end of the season. Let’s not forget that Melanie is responsible for Josie being the way she is.
There is this slow burn to this episode. Javi needs to come to terns with the PTSD he suffered. He finds comfort in Sykes who shares that her face scar is from the dogs too. I want Javi to heal and be a bigger part of the train once again.
Snowpiercer season 3 episode 5 slowly pushes the story forward. It’s a slow burn and they’ve set up Pike even more, gave us the new baby, and showed us the stress everyone is under. Let us know your thoughts and check out our quick review.
