I originally didn’t think the revolution would end prior to season 1, but that story line wrapped up in favor of a twist! Mr. Wilford lives! Snowpiercer gave us two episodes that concluded season 1, the first “The Train Demanded Blood,” and the second “994 Cars Long.” Both of these episodes really pushed the show forward and concluded a solid season 1. It also ended the revolution, but opened it up to a new revolution so to speak.
Goodbye Folgers and the military force on the train and hello Mr. Wilford. The people of the train barely have a moment to collect themselves before they have a new enemy. There is another train, which is the supply train. It’s coming for Snowpiercer and the assumption is Mr. Wilford is alive!

My thought is that Melanie’s boyfriend knew that Mr. Wilford was alive and that he’s been communicating with that second train. He’s hesitant for Javi to check out the signal. Later he tells Melanie he saw them on the screen earlier in the day. I think next season we’ll find out he’s working with them and that the timing of their attack is perfect because they knew of the political strife.
With Mr. Wilford being alive and the uncertainty of how he will treat Snowpiercer, how many people are alive on that train, and what is plan is for them will definitely bring another revolution next season. It will also make the train have to come together to overthrow Mr. Wilford!
Snowpiercer Season 1 set itself up to go in a really good direction for season 2. I’m not sure when we’ll see season 2 because the production was almost finished prior to the COVID19 shutdown.
