Seesaw Sports 2015 Dunk Contest ranks 3 more crazy dunks! (round 2)

NBA All-star weekend is over, but Seesaw Sports is still celebrating the dunks! We’re holding our own 2015 Dunk contest. Three more crazy dunks in round two, but only one winner. You be the judge.

Seesaw Sports, where Dan Salem and Todd Salem throw down on the NFL, MLB, NBA and more. Two brothers from New York yell, scream and debate sports.

This week we ask “What ha… happened?” The internet was scoured for crazy sports photos or GIFs and this week we rank em. Seesaw Sports asks what ha… happened?

Monday: Opening statement. Friday: Rebuttal.

Round One Dunks!

DAN:

The NBA is back from its All-star break, but that doesn’t mean we have to forget about the dunking. It is one of the greatest moves in all of sports. Our Seesaw Sports 2015 Dunk Contest concludes with three new dunks in need of a winner. Rank them from 6 to 10.

Here are three totally insane dunks, but only one can be the best of Seesaw Sports. Who will it be?

Feel free to pit your dunk champion head-to-head against my winner from Monday (Part one). Will ‘Try Try Again’ reign supreme, or stand alone on his lowly dunk pedestal?

Contestant No. 1 – Watch the Hair (from gifbin.com)

TODD:

Contestant No. 1 showcases an impressive dunk for sure. But I must deduct points because we don’t know how tall his prop is, and frankly, the guy looks really short. The crowd reaction helps sell the finish, but if he jumped over a 5-7 dude, are we bringing the roof down?

Watch the Hair gets a 7 out of 10.

DAN:

Contestant No. 2 – So Close (from funnyordie.com)

Trampoline Dunk Fail

TODD:

Contestant No. 2 has all the tools. His approach game is strong. His dismount is stellar. The only thing he’s lacking is the ability to jump. I’m giving bonus points because, based on his clothing and the reaction in the background, it appears as though he was NOT a staged marketing participant, and rather a guy giving it his all. Even if this is false, he sells it.

So Close gets an 8 out of 10.

DAN:

Contestant No. 3 – Wait for It (from gifbin.com)

TODD:

Contestant No. 3 would be the clear winner here if not for the kid in the yellow trunks. Every move is timed through the air except he is just sitting, chilling on the pool edge. It helps mask that deficiency that he throws a blind pass over his head for the finish, but really the entire charade is marred. The final dunker didn’t even need to busy himself with the rest of the performance. He simply waited for the yellow-trunked man to deliver his pass.

Wait for It gets an 8 out of 10.

No, this doesn’t give us a round-two winner, but it doesn’t matter because your round-one champion takes the title anyhow.

‘Try try Again’ wins the 2015 Seesaw Slam Dunk contest.
