Two androids are tasked with saving humanity, or at least raising our children on a remote planet after earth’s demise. Mother and Father must protect the human kids at all costs, even against other humans. Raised by Wolves has a dual meaning and gets a shot of Ridley Scott to boot. This utopian ideal of androids raising babies goes off the rails very quickly and appears to include super powers, super creatures, and a slew of unknowns in the quintessential dystopian science fiction future. Are the androids our wolves? Are the invading human adults the wolves trying to steal our children? A wolf is both friend and foe, so Raised by Wolves is going to shock us to the core. I expect a full dose of analogy towards modern society as well. All great sci-fi does it.
