The battle was epic and the outcome was expected. Halo the series gave us a massive fight and the Covenant stole Master Chief’s artifact. Then the other Blessed One swoops in. Who is the real enemy? Halo season 1 is heating up.
In Dr. Halsey’s incessant quest for power, she caused a massive war and it was badass! I’ve been calling for more action in Halo season 1 and we finally got it in this episode, but it ended in predictable fashion. The Covenant gets the second artifact and then the other Blessed One lands at John’s feet. For some reason Dr. Halsey attacks Master Chief with Cortana, but then the Spartans are unleashed to battle. It was fun! Kwan of course escapes Soren, but the battle royale was awesome. We needed the action. It is Halo the series after all.

The creepy human living with the ruler of the Covenant is now with Master Chief, but what is her true motivation? Apparently she and Master Chief John are unique in their ability to activate these alien keystone relics. Will they ultimately work together? They are Blessed Ones… and possibly related. What do they do and why is this such a mystery to our humans? Plus, the only strong humans are evil humans. No one else can take on the aliens.

By diverging from the video games, Halo the series has opened the story up completely. Our lone survivor Kwan has already stolen Master Chief to the resistance, but the human government needs them because the Covenant is too strong otherwise. Also, cloning.
