Greek Layer Dip the Perfect Vegetarian Summer Food

The best summer foods are easy to prepare and family favorites. That is what makes my Greek Layer Dip so perfect. It combines hummus, Tabouli, Tzatziki and feta cheese into an incredible dip that’s also vegetarian!

 

Summertime and the living is easy, a phrase I’ve adopted from a song into my mantra for relaxing during the summer months. Its how I would characterize my favorite summer foods and recipes as well. They are fresh, easy, delicious, and great for sharing. One of my family’s favorites is this Greek Layer Dip, a perfect summer food.

I love to prepare make-ahead cold salads and dips during the summer to compliment grilling and barbecuing. This allows me to relax and enjoy more time with family and friends. My Greek Layer Dip fits all of my qualification for the ideal summer food. It’s a great appetizer that is a family favorite, sure to please your crowd too!

Greek Layer Dip

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 carton (8 oz) garlic hummus**
  • 1 carton (8 oz) Tabouli**
  • 1/2 cup Tzatziki**
  • 1 cup chopped cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup sliced cucumbers, halved
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese

** I use Cedar’s, a New England brand, for the hummus, Tabouli and Tzatziki

Preparation:

  1. On a serving plate spread hummus, then top with Tabouli.
  2. Next, drizzle Tzakziki over the hummus and Tabouli.
  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cucumbers.
  4. Top with feta cheese.
