You loved my inside look at the BMW i3 2017, but I know you’re wondering what driving the Range Extender is really like. I break down REX mode and compare it to EV mode, as well as cut the BS in terms of driving an electric vehicle on gas.
REX mode is in case of emergencies and I for one think you should keep it that way. The BMW i3 drives amazing, but it drives slightly less amazing when using gas. I’d say 50% as cool, so keep it charged up.
