Be Happy!

Tweet Tweet       The Book

I’ve always been happy.  Woo! In high school, for superlatives I was voted “happiest.” I like the way it makes me feel.  It’s my favorite emotion and one of my life long goals is to just be happy! I truly believe that if you want to be happy, you will be.  I attribute my attitude to helping me get through some not so happy times in my life. It’s simple; if you feed into your unhappiness it consumes you, so of course feeding into happiness sets you free!

While surfing the internet, I found a fellow blogger who posted 7 Unfortunate Habits of Unhappy People.  Angel, who wrote the blog, hit the nail right on the head! To sum up, lifelong happiness is not found in simply one positive part of your life, it’s found by leading a balanced healthy life. This is totally the way I’ve always lived!

I can’t help but say YOLO. You only live once people! The only reason you’re not happy is because of you.  Let’s focus on some of the unfortunate habits you may have that Angel so graciously pointed out.  First, playing it too safe: where has ‘safe’ really gotten any of us? No where! Playing it safe just makes you stand on the sidelines and watch as everyone around you plays this awesome game of life. Don’t you want to play too?  For me, anytime something scares me I do it!

Second is slacking on exercise. I love exercise and you should too!  It’s changed my life and makes me happy. Being physically fit helped me get through a very tough time in my life, not to mention those wonderful endorphins you get from exercise.  If I go a day without getting my body moving, I feel sluggish and not myself.  Just think, there could be a whole other you inside, trapped because of stagnation. Just like good old Angel said, if you tell yourself you’re too busy to exercise then you’re lying to yourself. Thirty minutes each day, that’s nothing! You can even search online for quick workouts. Start off slow and work your way up.

It’s all about attitude people. Believe in yourself! Stop doubting yourself! I’ve said it time and time again, set a realistic goal and work toward it.  Stop being negative.  Negativity is just laziness and brings more negative results.  Positivity and optimism lead to positive results! And just let go and relax! You can’t control every single moment of your life.  If you try to do that, how are you ever in the present moment and experiencing life?  You’re not!

We can all be happy. You just have to want to! Be open to all the wonderful adventures and experiences life has to offer. It will change your life for the better and you won’t ever be unhappy again! Yes! Success!
