5 Resolutions to Make into Habits!

Most people have set their New Years Resolutions. A lot of people have already broken them. For many of us the resolutions we make don’t ever need to be on our list ever again! Make these amazing changes and turn your resolutions into habits. Do them every day and after seven to ten days your new habits are formed. It’s super easy with these five New Year’s Resolutions.

Drink More Water. I love water! It is my drink of choice. However, many people don’t drink enough water. It’s a common New Year’s resolution and an excellent goal. Let’s make this a habit! It’s super easy, just start by drinking a full glass of water right when you wake up. Also, drink a full glass of water before and after you eat. Form the habit. Buy yourself a reusable water bottle and fill it up before you go to work, then drink that bad boy throughout the day. After a week, you’ll totally be hooked on water. You’ll feel great, you’ll look great, and you’ll crave water.

Sleep 8 Hours a Night. I love a good nights sleep. I’m always way more productive when I’m well rested, and in a positive mood. We all get busy, but sleep is something we must value and make time for. If you don’t have an event or work to do, try and be in bed by 10pm on weeknights. You’ll start craving the early bed time once you form a habit. I crave shutting down my brain the most. Get yourself on the schedule and enjoy a habit of being well rested!

Eat a Serving of Fruit a Day. I love fruit! I can’t remember a time when I didn’t eat fruit for breakfast. The morning energy boost is amazing, and breakfast is how I started eating fruit daily. The natural sugars will get you motivated for the day! Whether at breakfast or as a snack, pick a time for at least one serving of fruit per day. It’s fun to eat different fruits depending on the season too. I find myself craving fruit when I wake up! It’s a great habit to form.

Workout 30 Minutes a Day. I often hear from people that they don’t have enough time to workout. Time to form a habit! Everyone has thirty minutes. Pull it from your time watching TV or on Facebook. Slide it in during your lunch break, or before breakfast. Decide that it’s easy to assign thirty minutes for exercise, and don’t make it an option. Your choices come with your workout, and the internet is your oyster! There are circuits, classes and free videos everywhere. You don’t have to leave your home, just spend a half hour a day sweating.

Be Positive. This is one of my favorite habits! I love being positive and I love the way it makes me feel. This is the best resolution to make into a habit. It’s also infectious, as your positive attitude will be contagious. When you’re positive it rubs off on your family and friends. It affects every aspect of your life in the best way possible. You’ll instantly feel amazing kids! Trust me, start tomorrow with a positive statement. Wake up and decide you’re going to have an amazing day and keep with it. Say it out loud in the morning and believe it. Be positive!

Be realistic with your resolutions and turn these five into new habits. It’s hard to break a habit, so don’t let these easy resolutions die. Turn them seamlessly into habits you’ll be happy to have. Make this year the last year they’re on your list. Form new habits kids!
