Every year there are more and more new Christmas movies! It’s definitely hard to watch all of them, but these 5 hot new Christmas movies got me extremely excited. Are they all worth the hype? I’ve got a quick review for each one!

Holiday movies are my jam and I’m always looking for new Christmas movies to add to my list of favorite. A few years ago Netflix got into the Christmas movie game, and since then they’ve unleashed so many new ones. Add to that the offerings of the other streaming services like Hulu, and we have so many new releases. Which new Christmas movies are truly worth your holiday spirit?

All five of these hot new Christmas movies had me extremely excited at the outset. Happiest Season was originally suppose to premiere in theaters, yet found a home at Hulu. Holidate, Operation Christmas Drop, Jingle Jangle, and Dolly Parton’s Christmas On the Square all dropped on Netflix. A few are great, while one fell completely short of cheer. Check out my 60 seconds or less video reviews of each new movie below.

Happiest Season (Hulu)

My 60 second Video Review!

Happiest Season, on Hulu, is your classic Christmas movie. Girl brings girl home for Christmas, but oh no, she hasn’t come out to her family yet. One half of the couple treats the other not so nice, but then realizes she has to be true to herself! I enjoyed this one, even though some people were not digging on how they treated each other in the film. Yet the break-up/make-up is a classic Christmas movie recipe. It works well here too.

Operation Christmas Drop (Netflix)

My 60 second Video Review!

Operation Christmas Drop, on Netflix, is an adorable Christmas movie. I had low expectations for this one, but it won me over. It’s a feel good, Christmas do good, happy time of year film. It’s definitely a solid one and very rewatchable! Aficionados can rejoice.

Jingle Jangle (Netflix)

My 60 second Video Review!

Jingle Jangle, on Netflix, is completely overrated. I had extremely high hopes for this film and the music is very good. The cast is phenomenal and John Legend did all of its music. Yet it missed for me, even though I know so many people loved it. It was my least favorite Christmas movie I’ve watched all season.

Holidate (Netflix)

My 60 second Video Review!

Holidate, on Netflix, is ridiculously amazing! It’s raunchy, silly, predictable, but so bad that it’s good. I love comedies like this and the Christmas movie aspect made it even better for me. If you like silly comedies and Christmas movies, then this is for you! Don’t miss this one.

Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square (Netflix)

My 60 second Video Review!

Dolly Parton’s Christmas On The Square, on Netflix, is a true holiday gem! Such a fabulous film and I’m not even a big Dolly Parton fan. Yet this Christmas movie gave me all the feels. It has angels, a great cast, and such solid music. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
